Background Music, Public Address and Voice Evacuation systems may seem similar because they all use speakers, but they differ clearly in purpose, design approach and operating requirements.

Background Music is used to provide soft music and enhance the experience of a space in hotels, restaurants, shops and more. Public Address (PA) is used to broadcast announcements and voice messages to specific zones or to the entire building, and a single platform may combine music and announcements.

Voice Evacuation is a system dedicated to emergency and voice evacuation messages, so it is subject to stricter requirements and designs related to safety, reliability and integration with fire systems, in line with project requirements and the relevant authorities.

That is why a system cannot be chosen based on speakers alone. If only music is required, we are talking about Background Music; if there are announcements, a PA system is needed; and if the system is part of the evacuation and safety system, Voice Evacuation must be designed according to the approved requirements and standards for the project.
